Job Description

#LI-KO1

Would you like to bring your digital product leadership experience into play and help us create fantastic Data products servicing the employees of LEGO Group.

Take this opportunity and join us as our new leader for a team of motivated and experienced product managers looking after our Data platform.

This team is a key part of our transformation into a product and data led organization.

Therefore, we’re looking to hire an experienced Product Leader to

  • Lead a team of experienced product managers, support their development, manage performance, and create the right culture for them to succeed
  • Coach product managers, so they can confidently lead product teams through the development of our data platform to provide real value across the LEGO Group
  • Synthesise business strategy, trends and user needs to develop a product vision and strategy that inspires stakeholders, improves the platform experience and gives our Product teams clear direction
  • Be a driving force in our digital transformation - align with key stakeholders on ways of working, roles and responsibilities, and leading prioritization
  • Play an active part in the product leadership team to build the overall Digital Technology product organization, including capability building and removing roadblocks
  • Above all, deliver strong and compelling market-leading Data products

This role will work closely with the Data Office leadership team and alongside the two other functions (Digital Platforms & Infrastructure and Security) that sit within our Digital Technology organization (led by the Chief Digital Technology Officer). You will report into the Head of Digital Product & Operations, who reports into the CDTO in a leadership team including the Chief Data Officer.

The remainder of the Digital Product teams are federated and report directly into the leadership teams of the business areas they support. This is a community you will be part of, giving you great insight to how the business operates and their needs, while also contributing to elevating the quality and consistency of our Digital Product ways of working.

As a hands-on visionary leader, you find the balance between rolling your sleeves up to work with the Product teams and looking at the bigger picture to execute on ambitious plans, working closely with the Chief Data Officer as a partner to their Leadership team.

Experience

  • Experience with building enterprise data platforms and other data products
  • Demonstrable experience as a leader within Product where you have directly led teams through product discovery, launch and ongoing performance improvement
  • Proven ability in building and leading high performing product teams, inspiring and empowering them to work towards common goals
  • Experience in transformational work in the Data domain, including defining and improving ways of working between your team and stakeholders
  • Great storytelling ability to bring the business and Data Office function with you on the journey
  • Experience with AI is a plus

Key functional skills

  • A great communicator with the ability to clearly articulate the problems to be solved and proposed solutions
  • A strong networker with great stakeholder management skills
  • Strong collaboration skills with other functions and roles such as engineering, design and multiple business roles
  • An enthusiastic self-starter who can manage activities autonomously, with the ability to toggle between attending to detail and steering company vision
  • Technically curious, with a strong understanding of cloud-based data and AI platforms and visualisation tools. Experience with databricks on AWS is a big plus

Success Looks Like

  • Clear, actionable product vision both medium and long term (with the roadmap socialised across teams and stakeholders)
  • Clear strategic alignment between the Data platform, its users, and LEGO Group ambition
  • Prioritized portfolio aligned with business impact and broader Digital Technology portfolio
  • Strong stakeholder confidence from key business roles and the Chief Data Officer in your vision, direction and prioritization
  • A thriving and effective team of Digital Product Managers, with clear coaching and development plans developed by you
