We are looking for a new leader for a team of motivated and experienced product managers looking after a portfolio of Consumer Engagement digital products. Come help us build a portfolio of consumer facing apps and websites, and play a critical part in our ambition to build direct and lasting relationships with millions of LEGO fans across the world.

Core Responsibilities

This role is part of the Digital Consumer Engagement Product Leadership Team and is a key part of the product-led journey we are on. We're looking to hire an experienced Product Leader to:

  • Lead a team of experienced product managers, support their growth, manage performance, and create the right culture to empower them and provide psychological safety to test, fail, and learn. Create an environment where product teams can do the best work of their careers, developing a user-centric culture of discovery and experimentation that improves experiences for our consumers

  • Develop a medium to long-term product vision and strategy in collaboration with audience experts, content strategists and marketing counterparts, translating business strategies, user needs, and market analysis into a direction that strengthens the portfolio and delights consumers

  • Define business cases, Portfolio OKRs, and drive delivery of meaningful product outcomes for kids, adults, and families. Coach product managers to confidently lead teams through discovery, development, and launch

  • Create a culture of experimentation around the development of new opportunities, helping teams formulate hypotheses, and seek validation through time bound experiments

  • Be a driving force in our digital transformation - align with key partners in Digital Consumer Engagement and Digital Technology on ways of working and roles and responsibilities. Build shared consensus on strategy, priorities, and value delivery

  • Play an active part in our product leadership team to build the overall product organization, including capability building, removing roadblocks and ensuring we have fun!

  • Above all, deliver strong and compelling market-leading products that enable us to create amazing digital experiences for builders of all ages!

This role sits in our Product organisation within the LEGO Group’s Digital Consumer Engagement (DCE) function – we build two-way, long lasting and meaningful relationships with our consumers and shoppers, and we do this through a wide variety of digital products for kids, adults, parents, and families. The products in our portfolio include LEGO Builder, kids.LEGO.com, the LEGO Play app, LEGO Magazine, LEGO Ideas, and Bricklink.

The Product Leader (Director) reports to the Head of Product within the product organisation, ensuring that product and portfolio direction reflects the needs of the audiences we serve. As a hands-on visionary leader, you find the balance between rolling your sleeves up to work with your teams and looking at the bigger picture to implement growth and development, always driven by data and end-user experience.


Do you have what it takes?

  • Product Leadership Experience: Demonstrable experience as a product leader where you have directly implemented product solutions enhancing the end user experience and impacted revenue/growth – Experience leading teams through product discovery, launch and ongoing performance improvement

  • Coaching & Team Development: Experience leading product managers and managing the growth of a dedicated, diverse, equitable and inclusive team

  • Visionary Communicator: A great communicator with the ability to set and clearly communicate an inspiring product vision and strategy. Confident in storytelling and evangelism, with excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong Cross-Functional Collaborator: A strong networker with demonstrated experience building trust across tech, design and business.

  • Ability to Inspire Change & Navigate Conflict: Experience leading collaborators through change, and handling difficult conversations with professionalism, always supporting your case with insight and data

  • Deep User Centricity & Analytical Prowess: You deeply understand your user’s needs and motivations, and have worked closely with user researchers to develop an organisation’s understanding of their customers. Strong ability to understand and draw out key themes and trends from analysis of customer and market data

  • Commercial Acumen: Understanding of the fundamentals of brand building and digital marketing, and how digital experiences deliver value to consumers and drive commercial value. Experience developing business cases and investment models for internal agreement

  • Experience with Mobile Apps or Marketplaces: Domain expertise in the discovery, launch, and ongoing improvement of mobile applications or eCommerce marketplaces

  • Technically Curious: Good understanding of software development practices. Experience with AI is a plus
