Job Description
At the LEGO Group, in our Digital Platforms subdomain, we are looking for a Lead Engineer for our SAP Governance & Enablement team to ensure our cross organizational SAP S/4 Hana platforms and supporting tools are architected accurately, effectively governed and easily adopted by our customers – the 50 SAP Product teams across the digital technology organization. In this role, we need someone ready to both wear the SAP architect and the Product Owner hat when needed, engaging with our partners across the organization and helping us proactively identify, handle, and reduce technical debt across our SAP landscape.

Besides being the Technical Lead for our SAP Governance & Enablement product team, be part of Digital Platforms’ leadership team. As Lead Engineer for the product team, take technical responsibility for the capabilities residing in the team including SAP Integration and Development, SAP Data Volume Management, SAP Change and Test Management plus SAP Security and Governance topics.

The SAP Governance and Enablement team is one of 7 product teams in our Digital Platforms department and plays a meaningful role in the success of our business.
We are the governance and enabling beacon of our SAP Technologies, and we're in search of an experienced and versatile SAP Lead engineer to bring it to even greater heights.
The team is based on our Billund Campus offering an exciting, inspiring, and flexible work environment.
The preferred candidate has experience with SAP technical leadership roles and with leading agile technology development. A solid technical background and experience defining SAP foundational architecture is needed, and experience with technologies from outside the SAP ecosystem is a definite plus.
While we don’t expect you to be an expert across all capabilities residing in the team, to succeed in this role, you have a curiosity about engaging across all, and strong competences within SAP integration, API Development and ABAP Development. Hands-on expertise with some of these technologies: SAP CPI, SAP Advanced Event Mesh, OData, SAP Gateway, CDS, Fiori, UI5, RAP, CAP, Workflows, REST, SOAP, and RFC. Also, experience with SAP BTP and building applications on this platform and understanding of non-SAP Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
The strong candidate would show some knowledge/understanding in the following:
Advanced English both written and verbally are needed since we are an international gathered team.
