Job Description

Shape the technology behind our digital products. As a technical leader, you will drive modern architecture, inspire engineering excellence, and help deliver secure, scalable solutions across product teams. 

Core Responsibilities 

Provide technical leadership in a product team and across product teams to secure delivery of exceptional technical solutions using coaching and mentoring. 

Technical Leadership & Strategy 

  • Formulate technical roadmaps and technology solution designs in collaboration with the Principal Engineer and across functions 

  • Technical leadership on engineering excellence for Software Engineers across product teams in organization 

  • Putting engineering and architecture topics on product roadmaps by actively engaging with product managers 

Architecture & Engineering Excellence 

  • Drive the journey towards the modern and secure software architecture that utilizes APIs and cloud 

  • Embrace and evangelize great engineering practices to promote software engineering as a craftmanship 

  • Explore emerging technologies and methods, identifying opportunities for platforms

Product Delivery Technology is a crucial component of the Consumer and Creator Technology organization within Digital Technology. Our department is dedicated to the creation of cutting-edge digital products, spanning digital element design, digital building experiences, workflow management and digital content distribution. We operate at the intersection of innovation, creativity, and technology, committed to delivering solutions that drive excellence across different domains in the LEGO Group. 

Do you have what it takes? 

  • Extensive experience with software development and software architecture of enterprise applications 

  • Deep technical expertise within Cloud development, microservices, integrations/API development, CI/CD 

  • Understanding Domain Driven Design, loosely coupled components, and event driven architecture 

  • Demonstrated ability to create robust, scalable, elegant, flexible, and relevant software solutions 

  • Effective communication skills with ability to get people involved on complex technical decisions. 

  • Practical experience in Agile development methods and continuous delivery environment. 

  • Planning and time management skills 

  • Being change ready and enjoy a flexible and inspiring environment 

  • Being a team player and embracing diversity 

  • Travel 5–15 days a year (dependent on need)  

Nice to have 

  • Experienced in at least one modern programming language like C# or Typescript or similar 

  • Experience with at least one cloud platform like AWS or Azure 

  • Experience working directly with senior IT groups in an advisory role
