Do you want to put your mark on LEGO® products, and help creating great play experiences for children and smiles on their faces? 

Join us as Industrial Engineer in our R&D organisation to facilitate packaging production and development for the LEGO novelties. 

Core Responsibilities 

In this one-year temporary role, you will handle packaging layout for all prepacks and final packs of LEGO® products developed in the R&D Packing & Packaging Novelty area. You ensure high-quality manufacturing design and work closely with local industrial engineering teams at our global production sites. More specifically, you will:  

  • Establish packaging configurations for pre-pack and final pack production for products matured within the P&P Novelty operations area 

  • Connect design and production to guarantee packaging solutions are optimized for manufacturing and packing plants 

  • Ensure new products are developed according to FIFO principles and novelty development timelines 

  • Drive continuous improvements in packaging development workflows, with a strong focus on quality and simplicity 

  • Maintain and develop packaging guidelines that reflect the latest capabilities across internal and external packing plants 

  • Provide industrial engineering expertise and sparring across development teams and business areas 

  • Be a trusted sparring partner both from development perspective (PMD) and from a local plant perspective

You will join R&D Novelty & Packaging Development, we provide packaging solutions for all main LEGO® products. We make sure these are designed for manufacturing and prepared for efficient production throughout our worldwide supply chain.  

Our team balances quality, cost efficiency, and standardization. We ensure new products are produced reliably and on time according to the development plan.

  

You will join a collaborative and experienced team where exchanging expertise, continuous improvement, and strong engineering standards are central to how we work.  

Do you have what it takes? 

The ideal candidate is either newly graduated within Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Production Technology, etc. and has a learning approach or has proven experience within the manufacturing area, for instance, as Production Engineer, Planner, Master Data Developer, etc. Many different roads lead to this position, but we imagine you will have: 

  • Preferably some Supply Chain knowledge and understanding of packing process 

  • Understanding of supply chain and manufacturing environments 

  • A global outlook and ability to collaborate across cultures and functions 

  • Strong quality approach and appreciation for structured work processes and documentation 

  • Solid knowledge of LEAN principles and continuous improvement 

  • Structured working style with strong attention to detail 

  • Service-minded approach and strong collaboration skills 

  • Great communication skills, English proficiency
