Job Description

Step into a pivotal role where innovation meets strategy in shaping the future of global logistics. Core Responsibilities

Global Technology Strategy

  • Define and implement the Global Warehouse Technology Strategy aligned to digital and supply chain priorities.
  • Establish global design standards and reference architectures for warehouse automation and control systems.
  • Govern technology selection, lifecycle, and regional adaptation within a unified global framework.

2. Solution Design and Deployment

  • Guide the design of automation and robotics solutions (e.g., AS/RS, AMRs, conveyors, smart picking systems) with 3PLs.
  • Partner with procurement3PLs and solution providers to evaluate, align, and integrate technology solutions.
  • Drive deployment roadmaps across key regional warehouses, ensuring interoperability and scalability.
  • Oversee tactical automation initiatives for smaller facilities, particularly e-commerce and local fulfillment sites.
  • Develop a global framework of automation KPIs and performance management

3. Sustainability by Design

  • Integrate sustainability KPIs into warehouse technology design (CO₂, water, energy efficiency).
  • Ensure digital tools enable measurement and optimization of environmental performance in operations.
  • Support tactical sustainability interventions at small or emerging market sites.

4. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and pilot emerging technologies (AI, digital twins, IoT, vision systems) to enhance warehouse performance.
  • Build partnerships with technology innovators, startups, and academia to foster continuous improvement.
  • Create a global automation playbook capturing best practices and learnings for future deployments.

5. Collaboration & Leadership

  • Serve as the global technology leader interfacing between supply chain operations, Digital Technology, Procurement and external partners.
  • Collaborate with regional logistics leads to co-design deployment plans aligned with business growth.
  • Drive capability building across regions to sustain and scale automation initiatives.

This role is vital in delivering on the LEGO Group’s ambitious growth, productivity, sustainability and Digital transformation agenda within the company’s global fulfilment operations. This transformation is a corner stone in future-proofing the E2E supply chain within the LEGO Group.

Do you have what it takes

Experience & Expertise

  • Minimum a decade of experience in logistics technology, automation engineering, or supply chain digital transformation.
  • Proven success in multi-region warehouse automation programs and 3PL technology integration.
  • Strong understanding of Solution Design and automation across B2B and e-commerce picking.
  • Good understanding of WMS/WCS platforms (e.g., SAP EWM, Manhattan, Blue Yonder) and automation systems.
  • Experience embedding sustainability metrics and environmental performance into technology design.

Leadership Attributes

  • Strategic systems thinker with strong execution orientation.
  • Influential collaborator capable of driving alignment across global and regional stakeholders.
  • Commercially astute, linking technology investment to business and sustainability outcomes.

  • Global alignment to warehouse technology standards and architectures.
  • Quantifiable CO₂, water, and energy reductions from logistics technology investments.
  • Efficiency, throughput, and reliability improvements in automated sites.
  • 3PL and regional adoption of standardized, interoperable technology platforms.
  • Business value realization and ROI of automation programs.

The position is based in Billund, DK and relocation support is not offered for this role.
