Apply your proven skills in engineering manufacturing equipment to aid in the development and deployment of the vital machinery for producing new LEGO® Bricks!
As Equipment Manager Specialist, you will serve as the overall Technical Lead on conceptual work and the complete build scope of Processing Equipment Solutions. This ranges from the early research phase to the first equipment solution being implemented. You will work closely with the project manager, project team, and main partners to ensure the agreed result is delivered to our internal customers. More specifically your responsibilities will be to:
Support on prioritizing the project with focus on the technical solution, supply with cost, time and resource estimations plus collaborator management.
Conceptual work based on business needs and ideas and knowledge of solutions from external suppliers such as feeding systems, robots, and cameras.
3D and 2D build in NX with all the required documentation by following requirements specification and internal and relevant external standards.
Conduct Build Risk Assessments and ensure appropriate risk mitigation.
Specify and arrange components in close collaboration with procurement and suppliers.
Prepare solid test plans, evaluate test results, and conduct structured root cause analysis if needed.
Support in the handover to Platform Owner and Sites for a strong anchoring in the line organization and support on technical matters.
Contribute to After Action Reviews and continuously implement guidelines in the way we work.
Join the Platform Development team located in Billund. Part of R&D Processing, the team develops and delivers the next generation of Processing Equipment Solutions for Decoration and Assembly of LEGO elements. Their work aims to enhance our standing in the toy market by offering novel differentiation and play experiences.

Do you have what it takes?
We imagine that you come from a Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or similar background. Most importantly, you have a strong technical foundation in developing automated production equipment.
Strong business insight and cross-functional collaboration to understand current and future needs to develop innovative equipment solutions from an end-to-end perspective.
Experience in inventing production equipment (preferably from the consumer goods industry) and product composition (preferably including plastic components).
Proven experience in using 3D build software, e.g., Siemens NX or similar.
Experience working in TeamCenter or similar technical document management systems.
Great knowledge of material properties and surface treatment for material selection.
Experience in planning, completing, and evaluating tests for equipment solutions.
Understanding of safety requirements (Machine Directive) and other relevant standards for machine development.
Proficiency in automation – working with robots and cameras for tasks.
Structural analysis e.g., finite element analysis.
Outstanding collaboration and partnership values ensuring that we all succeed together.
