Apply your proven skills in engineering manufacturing equipment to aid in the development and deployment of machinery for decoration and assembly of LEGO® elements.

Please note that relocation support is not offered for this role.

Core Responsibilities

As the Equipment Manager in this specialist position, you will be Technical Lead on the conceptual work and design scope of Processing Equipment Solutions from early research phase to first Equipment Solutions implementation, working with the project team and partners to achieve project success. Your tasks include:

  • Supporting scoping the projects with focus on the technical solution, provide input on cost, time, and resource estimates, as well as managing collaborators.
  • Conceptual work based on business needs and ideas and knowledge of solutions from externals suppliers, such as feeding systems, robots, and cameras.
  • 3D and 2D design in NX with all the necessary documentation by following requirements specifications and relevant internal and external standards.
  • Conduct Design Risk Assessments and ensuring appropriate risk mitigation.
  • Specify and order components in close collaboration with procurement and suppliers.
  • Prepare solid test plan and evaluated test results and conduct structured root cause analysis if needed.
  • Support on the handover to Platform Owner and Sites for a strong anchoring in the line organization and support on technical matters.
  • Contribute to After Action Reviews and continuously implement best practice in the way we work.

Join the Platform Development team in R&D Processing, where we are developing and implementing new Processing Equipment Solutions for Decoration and Assembly to boost our competitive edge in the toy industry.

We are a team of 8 colleagues: 2 Project Managers, 3 Equipment Managers, and 3 Senior Equipment Engineers. We value an environment where we think BIG, start small, and implement with speed.

Do you have what it takes?

The ideal candidates come with a background in Mechanical Engineering or similar, but most importantly they have a strong technical foundation within development of automated production equipment. Moreover, they bring:

  • Strong business insight and cross-functional collaboration to understand current and future needs to develop innovative equipment solutions from an end-to-end perspective.
  • Proven experience in using 3D design software, e.g., Siemens NX or similar.
  • Experience working in TeamCenter or similar technical document management systems.
  • Great knowledge of material properties and surface treatment for material selection.
  • Experience in planning, completing, and evaluating tests for equipment solutions.
  • Understanding of safety requirements (Machine Directive) and other relevant standards for machine development.
  • Significant experience in machine handling.
  • Outstanding collaboration and partnership values ensuring that we all succeed together!

It will also be beneficial to have:

  • Experience from participating in technical development projects lead in an agile way and a multi-national company working experience.
  • Proficiency in automation – working with robots and cameras.
  • Structural analysis e.g. finite element analysis.
