Job Description
We are searching for a high-reaching engineer to join our finOps team building the finOps Capability across The LEGO group. Our products and services help LEGO® engineers optimize their cloud footprint from compose to operations. And help management make data-driven decisions regarding budgets and contracts. We are a highly automated team, paving the path for agentic finOps enablement across all cloud providers, on-prem and SaaS solutions.
Our Cloud FinOps team develops and maintains our in-house finOps platform, serving 210 engineering product teams and providing the source of truth for finance. We handle the cloud budget, participate in contract talks. Run highly automated campaigns for cost optimization and constantly expand our offerings to cover more scope. The Engineer will be interacting extensively with and helping other product teams
The FinOps team is a core team for The LEGO Group, providing foundational capabilities for the entire organization.
We are closing the gap between engineering and finance, in a world where cost is consumption-based and ownership has shifted left to the engineers that spin up resources and make architectural choices. Our job is to provide a capability that can scale across many clouds and scopes without necessarily needing to grow the team: we automate every repetitive task, bring the data where it needs to be used, and strive to use agents to automatically generate the code in the product teams repository to reduce their cognitive load an operational burden. We also promote the FinOps culture as part of the DevOps practices and work very close to engineering teams to make it a reality.
We are a very international team; our work language is English, and we use Agile methodologies in our work.
The team is based in our new Copenhagen office and at the brand-new LEGO Campus in Billund. The work environment is exciting, inspiring, and flexible - and we like to have fun along the way!
We are looking for candidates with a few years of hands-on AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure experience and genuine curiosity about the intersection of engineering and finance.
To succeed in this role, we would like the right candidate to bring hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure). Building applications and automation using cloud native services and python with an understanding of how pricing models and architectural choices drive cost. Also, understanding the design, build and maintenance of ETL pipelines for large-scale datasets using Python and/or Spark.
Please note: If you require any reasonable accommodation or adjustments throughout the application process, please let us know. We will work with you to meet your needs.
This position is Lead Professional Skyline. Relocation support is not offered.
