Ready to help shape the future of one of the world’s most loved brands? We’re looking for a Category Manager-Logistic Equipment to join the LEGO Group in Billund.

The Procurement Category Manager oversees supplier relationships, develops and executes category strategies, and manages end-to-end procurement processes. They handle business request analysis, negotiate pricing and terms, select suppliers, process orders, manage contracts, and maintain supplier relationships. They lead commercial dealings with suppliers in critical areas, adhering to Global Procurement Policies and Processes. The procurement manager also builds and negotiates contracts within designated categories, following company policies to generate organizational benefits within the LEGO Group framework. They excel in conflict resolution and manage negotiations with guidance from senior leaders, undertaking ad-hoc projects with senior support.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Category Management: Develop and implement sourcing plans aligned with organizational objectives. Translate business needs into actionable strategies while managing high-risk, high-spend supplier relationships in compliance with Global Procurement Policies to deliver value within global category frameworks.

  • Strategic Sourcing: Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and internal business requirements to design and execute sourcing strategies that optimize value, reduce risk, and support long-term category goals.

  • Supplier Relationship Management & Strategic Partnering: Establish and sustain strategic partnerships with key suppliers. Drive collaboration through supplier relationship management programs, performance reviews, and supplier development initiatives to foster innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Stakeholder Management: Lead regional stakeholder engagement by identifying, influencing, and aligning cross-functional and external partners. Ensure procurement strategies support business goals and track progress through defined KPIs.

  • Negotiation Skills: Lead complex, high-value negotiations and manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle. Develop and execute contracts in accordance with LEGO Group policies to secure optimal terms, mitigate risk, and maximize business benefits.

  • Project Management: Define and manage detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation. Lead cross-functional teams by fostering collaboration, providing clear direction, and using analytical thinking to solve challenges and drive results.

  • Innovation: Develop creative category and supplier engagement strategies using market insights. Identify and adopt emerging procurement technologies and trends to enhance efficiency, value creation, and sustainability.

  • Change Management: Champion procurement transformation by communicating effectively, influencing stakeholders, and managing resistance. Identify risks and design mitigation plans to support successful adoption of new strategies and processes.

  • Digital Capability for Data Analytics and Business Intelligence: Conduct continuous benchmarking and category screenings using advanced analytics. Generate insights and provide strategic recommendations that drive savings, cost avoidance, and informed decision-making.

  • Sustainability & Social Responsibility / Compliance: Integrate sustainability and social responsibility into sourcing strategies, supplier selection, and contract terms. Ensure regulatory compliance while promoting ethical, transparent, and sustainable procurement practices.

  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain and procurement risks. Develop and implement contingency plans to ensure operational resilience and protect organizational continuity.

  • Cost Transparency: Analyze and clearly communicate cost structures and drivers to stakeholders. Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate transparent, value-driven agreements to enhance procurement effectiveness.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Collaborative person with 5+ years of relevant experience within procurement, project management and/or engineering in an international company. Preferably with spend under management of min. 100 mDKK

  • Experience with relationship management of strategic suppliers

  • Experience with stakeholder management.

  • Experience with contract management

  • Experience and ability to work with engineering and planning areas.

  • Negotiation skills, experience with large spend.

  • A technical insight incl knowledge of engineering processes.

  • 1-2 years leader partnering experience with strategic level – C-level at external suppliers, internal VP & SD level

  • International mobility, expect traveling 20-25 days a year

  • Experienced in working in the full office package and SAP

  • Advanced/fluent in English, verbal and written
