Job Description

We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our Innovation & Automation group within Analytics & Insights. You'll be building evaluation and governance systems for real products that power commercial decisions – forecasting, pricing, campaign optimisation.

This is a team of four, building from scratch – with strong backing from Analytics & Insights leadership and close collaboration with key partners like the Data Office and Digital Product teams. The standards, the evaluation frameworks, the governance practices, the tooling – all of it is being shaped now, and you'd be part of shaping it.

Analytics & Insights - Innovation & Automation Team sits at the centre of a three-team value chain in M&C Analytics: Analytics Engineering builds the data foundation, we build the AI and automation capability engine, Analytics Interface delivers the business products.

Come and join us in Billund at one of the most loved brands in the world where you can have maximum impact!

****Please apply with an English CV****

****No relocation support offered****

Core Responsibilities

  • Build evaluation frameworks for LLM and agent outputs: automated benchmarks, structured regression suites, and human-in-the-loop review where ground-truth datasets don't exist.

  • Instrument observability into AI systems – accuracy monitoring, drift detection, and clear connection between system behaviour and business outcomes.

  • Design deployment pipelines for AI products – model serving endpoints, agent workflows, and LLM-based applications on Databricks.

  • Shape AI governance through production quality gates, lifecycle management, and systematic review that makes reliability an engineering discipline, not a compliance exercise.

  • Build reusable templates, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Declarative Automation Bundles), and composable platform components that make the right way to build also the fastest way.

  • Build and ship AI products from architecture through production monitoring, partnering with Digital Product teams and the Data Office where scope overlaps.

  • Support testing and onboarding of emerging platform capabilities with the Data Office establishing adoption standards for analytics

Do you have what it takes

  • Strong Python engineering: clean, typed, production-ready code as a default.

  • SQL proficiency: writing efficient queries, understanding data models, working with analytical datasets.

  • Experience working with REST APIs as a consumer.

  • Experience with model or pipeline lifecycle management – experiment tracking, deployment, monitoring, not just training.

  • Hands-on experience operating AI/ML or data systems in production – you've kept something running, not just launched it.

  • Proven data engineering foundations: data quality, pipeline reliability, governance of technical standards.

  • CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code exposure: you've built or maintained deployment pipelines, not just used them.

Nice to have:

  • The Databricks stack: Unity Catalog, Workflows, MLFlow, Model Serving, Mosaic AI.

  • PostgreSQL or other relational databases for structured data systems.

  • LLM-based or agentic systems: evaluation of generative outputs, structured tool use, prompt engineering for production.

  • CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code: GitHub Actions, declarative infrastructure management (Terraform, Declarative Automation Bundles, or equivalent).

  • Experience building internal developer tooling, reusable templates, or platform component consumed by other teams
