Qualifications

  • PhD in detector physics, instrumentation, electronics, signal processing, or a related field.
  • Research experience in radiation detectors, detector systems, or instrumentation.
  • Experience with experimental work, modeling, and data analysis.
  • Strong publication record relative to career stage and a clear tenure-track research vision.
  • Motivation for teaching, supervision, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Strengthen detector research, systems development, and data processing in collaboration with colleagues and partners.
  • Develop detector research, readout, and data-processing methods.
  • Contribute to existing projects through design, simulation, laboratory characterization, and performance evaluation.
  • Work with semiconductor detector technologies for high-resolution X-ray and gamma-ray detection.
  • Apply Geant4 modeling and machine-learning-assisted signal processing.
  • Publish research, attract external funding, and build academic and industrial collaborations.
  • Teach and supervise BSc, MSc, and PhD students in relevant subjects.

Skills

  • Experience with FPGA/ASIC readout, Geant4 simulation, and machine learning for detector signals or space instrumentation is advantageous.

Education

  • A PhD is required for this position.

Tools

  • Familiarity with Geant4 and machine learning techniques is beneficial.
