Technical Writer (Remote)

Job summary

This role involves creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation in a fully remote environment. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to ensure documentation is accurate and user-focused, enhancing the overall product experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing with a portfolio that includes developer documentation such as user guides and API references.
• Proven ability to understand and document complex software products and environments.
• Hands-on experience with technologies like Java, Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.
• Familiarity with documentation frameworks such as Docusaurus and docs-as-code workflows.
• Experience with SaaS products or enterprise technology solutions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own documentation for specific product areas, acting as the technical writing partner for product teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure documentation aligns with product releases.
• Develop expertise in assigned product areas through testing and user feedback.
• Manage documentation projects from planning to publication and maintenance.
• Advocate for user-focused documentation and incorporate customer perspectives into product discussions.

Skills

• Strong writing skills with the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences.
• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to engage with technical teams.
• Familiarity with Git, Markdown, and AI-assisted documentation workflows.

Education

• Relevant educational background in technical writing, communications, or a related field is advantageous.
