The Novo Nordisk Foundation Biotechnology Research Institute for the Green Transition (BRIGHT) at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) aims to accelerate the development of biosolutions and strengthen the bio-based economy. The Biofoundry is an important part of BRIGHT and ensures effective development and implementation of strain design procedures in our design-build-test-learn workflow using big data and data science. The Analytics team is part of the Biofoundry and is providing reliable, accurate and high-throughput analytical services by means of state-of-the-art analytical techniques. We are now seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join the team in providing BRIGHT with professional analytical services.
The job
As a Laboratory Technician in the Biofoundry Analytics Team you will be part of a dynamic international team where you will be supporting the on-going activities and projects. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Analytics and your immediate responsibilities will be:

Salary and appointment terms
The salary and appointment terms will be based on the collective agreement with the OAO-S Joint Agreement and the organization agreement for Office Clerks, Laboratory Technicians and IT staff (HK/stat).
The position is a full-time position with a preferred starting date on May 1st, 2026 (or according to mutual agreement).
The place of work will be the The Novo Nordisk Foundation Biotechnology Research Institute for the Green Transition (BRIGHT), DTU Lyngby Campus.

The Novo Nordisk Foundation Biotechnology Research Institute for the Green Transition (BRIGHT) is a major initiative based at DTU that aims to accelerate the development of biosolutions and strengthen the bio-based economy. BRIGHT focuses on three main areas: Sustainable materials (Developing bio-based alternatives to fossil-derived materials), Microbial foods (Innovating food production through microbial technologies), and Microorganisms for net-zero agriculture (Creating solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in agriculture). The goal is to develop and scale innovative biosolutions within these areas, ultimately creating sustainable and competitive alternatives to fossil-based products and processes that can make significant contributions to reducing global greenhouse gas emissions.
