Are you looking for new opportunities to gain hands-on experience in project management while expanding your professional network? Become a long-term volunteer as a Project Assistant for TechBBQ’s Hero Academy.

We are currently looking for motivated individuals to join our team from beginning April, contributing 15 to 25 hours per week until the end of October.

Since 2013, TechBBQ has worked to support and strengthen the Nordic ecosystem for entrepreneurship and innovation, rooted in the core Nordic values of openness, inclusion, trust, and collaboration. TechBBQ is Scandinavia's largest startup & innovation summit!

Run by TechBBQ in collaboration with the City of Copenhagen, Hero Academy is an entrepreneurial training program that helps early-stage founders turn ideas into scalable ventures. Through hands-on workshops, expert mentorship, and access to investors and a vibrant peer network, participants gain practical skills and meaningful connections. Your Role
As a Project Assistant for the Hero Academy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning and execution of the startup training program and investor matchmaking at TechBBQ 2026. You will gain valuable insights into event management, stakeholder relations, and project coordination within the Nordic Startup Ecosystem.

Your Tasks May Include

• Coordinating project planning and execution across multiple initiatives

• Engaging with stakeholders, including startups, partners, and investors

• Assisting with event logistics, planning, and execution

• Supporting floor and stage management during the Summit

• Reporting and post-event evaluation

• Handling various ad hoc tasks
  
  

We Are Looking For Someone Who

• Is motivated, proactive, and eager to learn

• Is an excellent communicator both in writing and in person

• Works in a structured and organized manner

• Has experience in project management and/or event planning

• Knowledge of stakeholder engagement and partnership management

• Has a passion for entrepreneurship and innovation
