Lead Projects & Planning in a Highly Regulated, Customer-Centric Environment
We are seeking a Head of Projects & Planning to lead our end-to-end project execution and planning organization. Job Description

The Role
As Head of Projects & Planning, you will hold full ownership of the Order Fulfillment Process (OFP) - from Sales handover through execution to final Service handover. You will ensure strong governance, commercial discipline, and structured delivery while building a high-performing project and planning organization.

You will report to senior management and be a central member of the local leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Project Accountability

  • Lead the complete project lifecycle from Sales to Service handover.
  • Ensure smooth machine run-in, FAT and SAT aligned with GMP standards and customer expectations.
  • Drive high Customer NPS through professional stakeholder management and transparent communication.
  • Implement structured governance, gate models, and risk management frameworks.

Commercial & Financial Performance

  • Full P&L responsibility for the project portfolio.
  • Secure margin performance, cost control, and disciplined change management.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting, revenue recognition, and healthy cash flow.

Execution & Delivery Excellence

  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
  • Drive milestone control, resource allocation, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Act as escalation point for complex commercial or execution challenges.

KPI & Performance Leadership

Establish and drive a performance culture supported by clear KPIs and governance routines.

Operational KPIs include:

  • On-Time Delivery
  • Lead Time (Sales to SAT)
  • First Time Right
  • Resource utilization & planning accuracy
  • Customer NPS

Financial KPIs include:

  • Project Gross Margin
  • Cost variance
  • Change order recovery
  • Cash flow

Performance boards, structured portfolio reviews, and operational cadence meetings are expected leadership tools.

Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Lead and develop Project Managers and Planning professionals.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive competence development, behavioral standards, and constructive conflict management.

Value Stream & Continuous Improvement

  • Optimize the end-to-end value stream across Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, Quality, and Service.

Implement Lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives across project execution and planning processes.

Qualifications

  • Senior leadership experience within a project-driven industrial or manufacturing environment (minimum 5-7 years’ experience)
  • Strong commercial mindset and financial acumen.
  • Deep understanding of structured project governance and resource planning.
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., GMP) is an advantage.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive cultural and performance transformation.

Strategic thinker with strong execution capability.
