As a Group Financial Controller at Svitzer, you will join a team of 15+ dedicated and professional Finance colleagues based at our headquarters in Nordhavn, Copenhagen. You will collaborate closely across Group Finance, our Global Business Services team, and regional Finance teams. While the pace can be busy at times, we believe in maintaining a healthy balance and ensuring space for life outside of work.

More about the role

In addition to working collaboratively with Finance colleagues in Copenhagen and across regions, your key responsibilities will include the following:

Key Responsibilities

• Controlling and reporting: You will contribute to the monthly and quarterly financial controlling of Svitzer Group’s performance in close collaboration with Group Finance, Global Business Services, and regional teams. You will prepare consolidated financial analysis and provide ad‑hoc insights for Senior Management. Over time, you will become one of the experts in the consolidation system (OneStream) and may also support training or workshops for the Svitzer Finance community. The role may additionally include controlling tasks and ad‑hoc projects related to sustainability data, when relevant.

• Governance: You will support maintaining a robust governance framework at Svitzer, including updates to the Finance Manual, reporting instructions, and functional SOPs, as well as continuously evaluating and updating the controlling framework. You will interact with external and internal auditors during interim and year‑end audits and contribute to assessing internal controls.

• Business Partnering: You will act as a key point of contact for the Finance community by offering proactive support and guidance related to reporting and IFRS matters. With a strong business‑partnering mindset, you will also become a go‑to contact for colleagues across the global organisation.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate has all or some of the following:

• A valid Danish residence and work permit.
• A relevant Master’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, or Finance, and 3–5 years of experience from a similar role.
• Experience in consolidated financial reporting and controlling, with a basic understanding of IFRS.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with high personal integrity.
• Comfort working with Finance‑related IT tools, including Microsoft Office and reporting platforms. Experience with OneStream is an advantage but not a requirement.
• Fluency in spoken and written English, which is our corporate language.
