Global Business Process Owner – ProcuretoPay (P2P)

Take ownership. Shape global standards. Enable efficient and compliant buying at scale.

Do you enjoy taking end‑to‑end ownership, creating clarity in complex operating models, and improving how things work across a global organisation? Are you motivated by connecting strategy, process, data and technology to deliver measurable outcomes?

Join Svitzer as Global Business Process Owner – P2Pcand help shape how we buy and pay globally - in a way that is consistent, compliant and user‑friendly for teams across regions.

About Svitzer

Svitzer is a leading global towage operator with over 4,000 colleagues and 446 tugboats across 35+ countries. We provide sustainable marine services that make ports and terminals safer, more efficient, and more climate-friendly - a strategic priority reflected in our innovation, like the Svitzer Transverse Tug: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPdhKsJu3fk (1 min 55 sec).

We offer

At Svitzer, you will be part of an international and inclusive workplace that values ambition, professionalism and collaboration. Our flat structure and close engagement with senior stakeholders give you the autonomy to shape the role and make a real difference.

You will drive end‑to‑end impact on how Svitzer buys, pays and partners with suppliers globally, working across global functions and local teams to shape standards and digital priorities in P2P. You will join a culture grounded in safety, respect and teamwork - supporting open dialogue, continuous learning and sustainable performance.

More about the role

In the role as Global Business Process Owner – P2P, you will help shape the global direction for Svitzer’s P2P operating model – and make it easier for our teams to buy and pay in a consistent, compliant and user-friendly way. We operate in a centre-led model: strategy, standards and governance are owned globally, while execution happens locally across our regions.

You will partner closely with colleagues in Procurement, Finance, Technology and our regions to improve efficiency, user experience and compliance. You will also lead the Procurement Business Support and Master Data Management team.

More specifically on what you will do

  • Shape and continuously refine the global P2P strategy, target operating model and process standards, aligned with business needs and functional requirements (e.g. Procurement and Finance policies).
  • Be accountable for global P2P standards and performance oversight – including compliance, control effectiveness and user experience – in a centre-led model with local execution.
  • Facilitate and chair P2P governance (demand intake, prioritisation, design approvals and release cadence), enabling transparent decision-making and stakeholder alignment.
  • Partner with Technology to shape and manage the functional roadmap for the procurement application landscape and templates (e.g., D365, Sertica, Basware); translate business needs into prioritised requirements and releases.
  • Lead global procurement master data governance for suppliers, products/services and catalogues, including ownership model, data quality standards and lifecycle management.
  • Build and run a structured continuous improvement pipeline (standardisation, simplification and automation), supported by fact-based analysis and value tracking.
  • Work with the application support team to coordinate run-mode configuration and maintenance (access management, approval workflows, releases and upgrades) to support stable operations and audit readiness.
  • Define, implement and monitor end-to-end P2P KPIs and service levels; provide regular performance reporting and actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Keep documentation clear and practical (process maps, SOPs, RACI and control narratives) and deliver training and communication to support adoption and process discipline.
  • Lead and develop the Procurement Business Support and Master Data Management team, setting priorities, capability development and delivery standards.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who enjoys connecting strategy, process, data and technology – and who thrives on collaborating with stakeholders across regions. You do not need to tick every box to apply; we are interested in your experience, potential and motivation.

More specifically, we are looking for

  • Must hold a Danish work- and residence permit.
  • Experience defining, governing and improving end-to-end business processes in a matrix organisation.
  • A solid understanding of P2P (process design, service delivery, controls and compliance).
  • A track record of delivering cross-functional change initiatives (requirements, process design, testing, deployment and adoption).
  • An analytical mindset: able to translate data into prioritised actions and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills; comfortable leading workshops and decision forums.
  • Experience working in an international environment with cultural awareness and a pragmatic approach to standardisation.
  • Relevant experience within Procurement, Finance/AP, GBS (Shared Services) or related P2P roles (typically 5+ years).
  • Experience with ERP and procurement platforms such as D365, Sertica, Basware or comparable solutions is an advantage.
  • People leadership experience – or a proven ability to lead teams and communities of practice through change.
