Job Description

Do you want to be a part of Northern Europe’s largest construction project and join a team that sets high standards in marine construction, combining expertise, precision, and innovation?

The Position

Working under the Head of the Marine Construction Team and alongside other colleagues, you will be responsible for parts of the offshore construction progress follow-up. This involves managing and monitoring the tunnel contract work, including the float-up of elements, handling elements offshore, preparing the trench and gravel bed installation, and backfilling works after the tunnel elements are immersed. You will focus on evaluating contractors’ execution method plans and providing diligent on-site supervision to guarantee that construction activities and contractors’ self-monitoring procedures align fully with established requirements.

Your Key Tasks Will Include:

  • Execution method statement reviews
  • On-site monitoring of contractors’ performance and reporting progress
  • Ensuring the works are performed with the required quality
  • Ensuring that construction risks, health, and safety matters are properly handled by the contractor
  • Coordination and reporting across the project matrix organization

Your Profile

You have a degree in civil engineering or a similar field and at least 3 years of experience in marine construction management of complex projects. The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Strong engineering skills within large marine structures
  • Flexible, open-minded, and curious
  • Attention to detail
  • Dynamic and agile – an ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Availability for flexible working hours due to continuous marine works
  • Effective communication skills, both written and spoken, are crucial. Reviews and communications will be conducted in English.

What We Offer

Working on this large-scale construction project offers significant opportunities for both personal and professional development. As a Marine Construction Site Engineer, you will gain in-depth insight into our mega immersed tunnel project within our Technical Division. After the Fehmarnbelt Project is finished, further Sund & Bælt projects will commence, potentially offering opportunities to join future ventures.

You will be part of an evolving organization that adapts as the project progresses, ensuring a challenging and diverse work environment. Our team consists of dedicated employees with diverse international backgrounds, all bringing extensive experience from major projects around the world. While our main office is in Copenhagen, we also have site offices in Germany and our owner's office in Rødbyhavn, where you will be based. You will also occasionally work in Copenhagen.
