Do you want to help shape how Denmark’s largest and most complex infrastructure projects are governed and delivered? Then this is your chance!

The Position

Sund & Bælt is looking for an experienced Management Consultant to join our Portfolio Management Office (PMO) in the Construction Division. With us, you will have the opportunity to help shape how Sund & Bælt delivers complex infrastructure projects with significant impact on society. The Construction Division at Sund & Bælt is responsible for a large CAPEX portfolio consisting of some of Denmark’s most important infrastructure projects ranging from the Fehmarnbelt Tunnel — one of Europe’s largest construction projects — to building a new train station at Copenhagen Airport and many more. In order to optimize our ability to deliver on the existing project portfolio and to prepare for possible new projects in the years to come, we are currently developing a new construction operating model, and we need your help driving this organizational transformation forward.

This role sits close to senior management and plays a key role in turning strategy into concrete, implementable solutions with visible impact across major infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

As a Management Consultant in our PMO, you will play a central role in portfolio management, the transformation project and project governance. In this role, you will:

  • Become a member of the Transformation Management Office embedded in the PMO and take on a leading role in driving workstreams and ensuring that the overall transformation project is running according to plan.
  • Advise management and project teams on best practices within governance, processes and methods for project and portfolio management.
  • Contribute to management support and decision-making processes through analyses, reporting, and structured data handling, translating complex issues into clear decision material for senior stakeholders.

Your Background

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has 2-4 years of experience as a Management Consultant from a consultancy or an internal consulting / PMO-type function — preferably combined with experience from the construction or infrastructure sector. Knowledge of the owner’s role in large-scale infrastructure projects is an advantage.
  • Possesses strong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solving, ideally with a focus on project management, governance, or portfolio management, and has the ability to translate complex issues into fact-based recommendations and decisions.
  • Is strong in stakeholder management and executive communication, and can confidently engage with senior management, project directors and functional leads.
  • Holds a relevant educational background, e.g., in economics, engineering, or a similar field.

You as a Person

You are analytical, structured, and proactive, with strong communication and collaboration skills. You thrive in complex environments, build trust with stakeholders, and take responsibility for driving clarity, governance, and progress across projects, motivated by seeing your work translated into real change and tangible results in large-scale projects.

What do we offer?

You will join a small, high-impact in-house consulting environment working on flagship infrastructure projects with direct exposure to senior leadership and influence on key decisions across Denmark’s critical infrastructure. We place great emphasis on creating a workplace where you can develop, contribute to meaningful projects, and be part of a community working for improving the future mobility for Denmark and Europe.

As a workplace, we offer attractive conditions for our employees. This includes:

  • Health insurance and dental insurance
  • A good salary package that matches your experience and skills
  • A good pension scheme

Are you interested?

We aim to be an inclusive workplace that embraces diversity. Therefore, we encourage everyone to apply, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, or disability.

You can submit your CV up until the application deadline 17/03/2026, by following the link below.

Due to Sund & Bælt being a critical infrastructure provider, employment requires to pass a security clearance assessment.

You are welcome to contact Deputy Director and Head of PMO Martin Jessen on mje@femern.dk if you have further questions.
