Ready for your next chapter? We’re looking for a Mobile app developer to join the team in either Sweden or Denmark. This role could be based either in Sweden or Denmark.

About the role

This is a key role within our development team and a fantastic opportunity to gain significant experience working on a market-leading app with a modern tech stack.
We have our beautiful office in Stockholm and Copenhagen which you are very encouraged to go to and work from and meet your colleagues. You will shape the experience for millions of listeners and readers. You will be instrumental in developing new, exciting features and enhancing the existing functionality of our core Android app, as well as having the opportunity to contribute to our iOS app, ensuring our users have the best possible journey into the world of stories.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing new features and improving existing mobile applications.

• Writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.

• Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to bring ideas to life.

• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our development processes and codebase.

About the team

You will be joining our dedicated Mobile team, where we are a collaborative group of 12 individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences. As a remote-friendly team, we are spread out across various locations in Sweden and Denmark, and with a good virtual collaboration.

Our team's core purpose is to build a world-class Android and iOS applications defined by high stability, strong performance, and delightful features. While you'll work in close partnership with Product Managers and Designers, we always keep our ultimate stakeholder in mind: our customers.

About you

To be successful in this role, we believe that you have:

• Professional experience developing Android applications.

• Solid proficiency in Kotlin, as our codebase is built entirely on it.

• Experience working with Compose UI, which we use for most of our user interfaces on our Android app.

• A good understanding of the Android SDK and common mobile design patterns.

• Solid experience writing automated tests and unit tests.

• A proactive and self-starter mindset, with the ability to contribute effectively from an early stage.

• A team-oriented approach and thrive in a collaborative environment where you build great things together with others.

• Knowledge of AI tools like Claude Code and other agentic coding tools is a plus.

• iOS development experience is a plus.

• Knowledge and experience with cross-platform tools is also a plus.
