SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER – TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (TMS)

Lead a critical supply chain transformation and drive tangible business impact

If you thrive on owning complex projects end-to-end and creating alignment and momentum in high-stakes environments, the role of Senior Project Manager for TMS offers a unique opportunity. You will take full ownership of the Transport Management System (TMS) project – a critical initiative within STARK digital transformation programme, Athene.

As part of the Supply Chain value stream, you will drive delivery across countries and functions in close collaboration with IT, Business Transformation, Business Units, and external vendors. Reporting to our Program Director and working within the Athene programme management team, you ensure disciplined execution - delivering on time, budget, and to agreed scope and quality in a complex, matrix organisation.

Role Scope and Impact
You have end-to-end accountability for the TMS project, owning the full lifecycle from vendor selection and process design to implementation, integration, and business adoption. Your success is defined by your ability to turn plans into outcomes, ensure operational stability, and deliver measurable business value in a complex, matrix environment.

In this role, you will be a success when you:

• Lead the end-to-end TMS implementation, including vendor selection, contracting, process design, system implementation, integrations, and change adoption.
• Ensure delivery on scope, timeline, cost, and quality in line with the approved business case and Athene PMO governance standards.
• Establish and maintain strong project governance, including board reporting, risk and scope management, financial oversight, and quality assurance.
• Drive business readiness and adoption in close collaboration with Business Transformation, IT, and key stakeholders, ensuring minimal disruption during and after go-live.
• Lead and motivate a cross-functional project team, align dependencies, and maintain momentum throughout the project lifecycle.
• Translate project outcomes into measurable improvements in supply chain performance and business KPIs, fostering a strong “WE-project” mindset and shared ownership.

Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a proactive, outcome-focused project manager who thrives in complex, international environments. You are experienced in leading large-scale logistics initiatives through influence, navigating matrix organisations, and delivering results through strong stakeholder and vendor management.

Key qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in project/programme management within transport, logistics, or supply chain, including complex, multi-site implementations.
• Strong project management foundation (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) with proven ownership of scope, timeline, and budget.
• Excellent stakeholder, vendor, and change management skills, combined with an analytical and structured approach.
• Strong communicator and influencer, fluent in English, able to engage both executives and operational teams.

What We Offer

You will have the space to set standards, design processes, and drive a project that delivers real benefits to STARK Group. For the right candidate, the role offers exposure across the programme and the potential to grow into other senior project or programme management positions.

The role can be based in either Viby J or Frederiksberg. If primarily based in Frederiksberg, you should expect to work from our Viby J office 1–2 times per month. In addition, the role involves approximately 30–50 travel days per year.
