Create Clarity, Drive Engagement, and Strengthen Governance in a Major Transformation
If you excel at turning complex information into clear insights – and naturally take ownership long before anyone asks – then the role of Reporting & Communications Lead is the challenge you are looking for. In this role, you will play a key part in how Athene – STARK Group’s large scale IT transformation programme – communicates progress, risks, and critical decisions across the organisation.
You will join a programme currently consisting of 16 active projects delivered by colleagues across 13 Project Managers. While Project Managers drive their individual projects, your role is to connect the dots across the programme - transforming data into meaningful reporting, ensuring stakeholders stay informed, and enabling structured governance in a fast‑moving environment. In this context, your work is not about managing people - it is about creating a common understanding, ensuring information flows smoothly, and enabling leadership to make well‑supported decisions.
As part of a PMO function that is still being shaped, you will directly influence how we communicate, report, and govern. This is the right role for you if you see communication and reporting as strategic enablers - not administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will take responsibility for programme‑level reporting and communication. You will develop structures that make data easy to understand, prepare materials that enable clear decision‑making, and ensure information is consistently shared across the programme.
You will build and maintain reporting frameworks, consolidate inputs from projects into programme‑level updates, and prepare concise materials for governance forums such as SteerCo. Alongside reporting, you will define the communication approach for Project Athene - producing newsletters, announcements, and internal updates that help stakeholders stay informed and engaged.
You will manage internal communication channels such as SharePoint, Teams, and Viva Engage to ensure information remains accessible and up‑to‑date. You will also support governance practices by helping define meeting structures, roles, and decision‑making processes, and you will assist project teams with ad hoc materials and targeted messaging when needed.

You will report to the Head of the Athene PMO and work closely with the wider PMO team, including leads across planning, scope, and stream coordination. You will also collaborate with the 13 Project Managers and cross‑programme functions such as Architecture, Release Management, and Testing to ensure alignment and a consistent flow of information.
