Staff Embedded Software Engineer (Automotive, Remote)

Job summary

An experienced Embedded Software Engineer is needed to support a range of high-performance solutions in the automotive sector. This role involves developing embedded device drivers, middleware, and board support packages (BSPs) for automotive systems, working within a cross-functional team to deliver technical support to global customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in embedded software design and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain Linux and bare-metal drivers for automotive SoC and DSP platforms.
• Document software modules and provide technical support to customers.

Skills

• Proficiency in software development languages including C, C++, Python, and shell scripting.
• Experience with embedded Linux and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Familiarity with source control management tools (e.g., SVN, Git) and debugging tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a good understanding of electronics and embedded systems.

Education

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.

Tools

• Embedded Linux, RTOS, SCM tools, cross compilers, in-circuit debugging tools.
