The Global Process Owner (GPO is an expert who
oversees and coordinates business processes across different operating
companies, departments and systems within WMFTS. Responsible for creating,
implementing, training, supporting and enhancing business processes to adopt
best practice.
Prioritize the requested process improvements,
plan the process changes and prepare cross functional business resources for
upcoming changes. Through these activities, ensure the WMFTS business processes
and solutions keep up with the evolving business requirements of our
operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Roadmap Management
- Manage complex and diverse stakeholder groups to ensure process designs meet future business needs and user requirements, in support of an aligned business model.
- Gather input and best practices from outside of the Spirax Group to ensure our process thinking keeps pace and delivers value to our customers.
- Lead key user communities across WMFTS to capture process requirements, improvement opportunities and change projects.
- Manage process change backlogs. Prioritise process change effectively to ensure business solutions keep pace with business need.
- Provide a clear vision and supporting roadmap to stakeholders to when key process improvement projects will be delivered.
Process Design Ownership and Delivery
- Design Authority sign off of process design.Ensure the process to be delivered meet the requirement needs of the Key User and wider business community.
- Arbitrate misaligned processes across multiple departments or OpCo locations.
- Ensures the needs of our businesses are balanced and translated into a sustainable process design portfolio
- Collaborate with third parties and other WMFTS teams to align delivery of process and system change.
- Utilise a formal process management toolkit in assessing, prioritising, communicating and delivering process change, (e.g. Business Process Mapping, Value Stream Mapping, PDCA, Six Sigma concepts).
- Monitor business process performance to ensure adoption, continued alignment and further process improvement opportunities.
- Ensure process change communication/documentation is appropriate and accessible to all.
- Collaborate with the Global training team, to create appropriate training content for users
- Develop and deliver a global gap analysis program, which will ensure:
- Opco’s are using and benefiting from the global processes & solutions
- Gap register created, providing a view of local to global gaps
- Lead or facilitate the resolution of any gaps
- Be the Data Owner for the functional stream
- Support the GIS Data goveranance team with Data ownership
- Lead and support the Opco’s and data champions to ensure data cleansing activities are undertaken to support WMFTS having cleansed, accurate data, to help support business functions and decisions
Change and Engagement
- Assess and articulate the scale and impact of functional process change in our businesses.Feed into the
- Design Authority for discussion and agreement.
- Articulate required change to senior leaders across the Division in a balanced and effective way ensuring the successful delivery of core, aligned systems in support of effective process.
- Support the change activities related to process design or improvement, to ensure users are engaged and supportive
- Align the business and system resources required to effectively design, rollout process change across all
- OpCo’s operating this process.
- Ensure cross functional involvement in change activities
- Communicate and influence senior stakeholders to ensure the adoption of global processes
Responsibilities related to Projects
- Workstream
Planning and Management
In collaboration with project manager roles, develop and manage detailed workstream plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management. Ensure alignment with overall project goals and timelines. - Team
Leadership
Lead and motivate a team of Key Users, business analysts, and other process specialist stakeholders. Facilitate effective teamwork and collaboration within the workstream and across the project. - Stakeholder
Engagement
Serve as the primary point of contact for all matters related to the workstream. Engage with key users and other business stakeholders to ensure alignment and address concerns. - Business
Process Integration
Oversee the analysis and re-engineering of existing business processes to align with the system capabilities. Ensure a seamless integration of processes across different business functions. - Solution
Oversight
Work closely with technical teams and key users to ensure the solution meets the business requirements. Guide the design, customization, and configuration of the system within the workstream. - Quality
Assurance and Testing
Lead the testing efforts within the workstream, including input to test plans, overseeing and ensuring participation in test execution, and managing issue resolution prior to business acceptance. - Training and
Change Management
Collaborate with the business and transformation change manager to ensure impacts, people risks and mitigating actions are documented and effective user training and support for change initiatives within the workstream. - Reporting
and Communication
Provide regular updates to project leadership and stakeholders on workstream progress, challenges, and achievements. Maintain clear and open communication channels.
Skills/Experience:
- Understanding of typical processes within a business, with the ability
to review and define where improvements could be made
- Responsibility
of leading or owning a business process improvement project
- Experience
of being a change ambassador
- Practical use of Six Sigma or similar methodology to evaluate a
processes effectiveness and suitability
- Experience leading or creating strong engaging training content is advantageous although not essential
- Experience of implementing continual improvements
into a global business process
- Understanding of data governance/data quality
