About the role

Job summary

An experienced specialist is sought to coordinate and enhance advanced human stem cell models and differentiation workflows. The role involves overseeing iPSC and ESC cell culture, differentiation into various cell types, and conducting molecular and functional assays while ensuring model availability for diverse research projects.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Molecular Biology, Stem Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, or a related field.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with human embryonic stem cells and induced pluripotent stem cells culture.
  • Demonstrated expertise in neural differentiation workflows.
  • Strong practical knowledge of molecular biology methods, including PCR/qPCR, immunocytochemistry, viability assays, and microscopy.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily operations of advanced human stem cell model workflows, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
  • Implement, optimize, and benchmark stem cell differentiation protocols for various cell types.
  • Support the establishment of cellular disease models, particularly for neurodegenerative diseases.
  • Conduct and coordinate molecular, biochemical, and functional validation assays, including DNA/RNA isolation and FACS analysis.
  • Provide guidance and training to new users and collaborators on stem cell culture and differentiation best practices.

Skills

  • Experience in optimizing stem cell culture conditions and differentiation protocols.
  • Familiarity with cell viability, cytotoxicity, and apoptotic assays.

Education

  • PhD in a relevant field is required.

Tools

  • Proficient in molecular biology techniques and imaging tools.
