Senior Jewelry Designer

Job summary

An experienced Senior Jewelry Designer is sought for a 12-month fixed-term contract to contribute to the Modern Classics & Diamonds team. The role involves developing innovative jewelry collections that align with brand identity and market trends.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in jewelry design within luxury, fashion, or accessories brands.
• Strong creative portfolio showcasing concept development, mood boards, sketches, and finished products.
• Proven ability to manage design projects from concept through CAD and prototype stages.
• In-depth knowledge of jewelry design, craftsmanship, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Exceptional hand-sketching and visual communication skills.
• Experience with CAD development and cross-functional product teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in an international setting.
• Mentoring experience with junior designers is a plus.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design team to create and develop new jewelry collections.
• Translate creative briefs into innovative product concepts and designs.
• Lead design projects from research and concept development to prototype execution.
• Develop mood boards, presentations, sketches, and technical drawings.
• Provide feedback on CADs and prototypes, ensuring alignment with timelines.
• Conduct research to identify trends and translate insights into creative concepts.
• Maintain accurate design documentation throughout the design process.
• Mentor junior designers, offering creative and technical guidance.

Education

• Relevant degree in jewelry design or a related field is preferred.

Tools

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
