Are you passionate about optimizing data platforms and ensuring seamless performance? Join our dynamic team in Copenhagen and play a key role in managing mission-critical database environments. We are a collaborative, solution-oriented team that thrives on innovation and efficiency.
As part of our Data Platforms team, you will work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and system administrators to ensure high availability, security, and performance across on-premise SQL Servers and Azure SQL Managed Instances. This is an on-site position in Copenhagen with minimal travel expectations.
Diagnose and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks and connectivity problems.
Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and configuration adjustments.
Manage and maintain SQL Server (2019–2022) and Azure SQL Managed Instances for high availability and security.
Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to automate provisioning, deployments, and monitoring using CI/CD pipelines.
Implement security policies, access controls, and compliance measures.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations and troubleshooting.
You are a proactive team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You communicate clearly, work collaboratively, and bring a positive, solution-oriented mindset to every challenge.
Required competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator with expertise in troubleshooting and performance tuning.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure PaaS services and SQL Server environments.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
Proficiency in SQL query optimization and scripting.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure) are a plus.
Nice-to-have skills:
Experience with PostgreSQL administration and performance tuning.
Knowledge of Azure Cosmos DB (especially with MongoDB API).
