Job summary

Three Research Assistant positions are available in a leading research environment focused on sustainable microbial applications. The roles involve advancing technologies for developing microbial cell factories and scalable bioprocesses to convert CO₂-derived feedstocks into high-volume chemicals. The initiative encompasses various interdisciplinary efforts across the innovation pipeline.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • Experience with molecular methods and techniques such as PCR, qPCR, DNA/RNA extraction, nanopore sequencing, and bioinformatics is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of microbial diversity and functional properties in the environment.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).
  • Well-organized, collaborative, and proactive.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily experiments and collaborate with team members.
  • Cultivate microbial cells and perform various molecular biology techniques.
  • Engage in genome editing, protein analysis, and small-scale fermentation.
  • Troubleshoot and set up new protocols as needed.

Skills

  • Proficiency in molecular biology techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a team player.

Education

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field is required.

Tools

  • Experience with high-throughput methods and bioinformatics tools is advantageous.
