Job summary

This position involves working as a Research Assistant on a European project focused on developing AI-based hearing technology for smart glasses. The role includes hands-on experimental and technical activities aimed at creating context-aware hearing instruments to assist individuals with hearing loss.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering, audio-visual signal processing, AI, or computer science.
  • Practical experience in egocentric video, real-time audio-visual signal processing, AI applications, multimodal systems, or human communication experiments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and record a large-scale multisensory human communication dataset.
  • Manage and curate complex multi-modal data.
  • Implement real-time closed-loop wearable setups.
  • Evaluate hearing technology with human users through experiments and interviews.

Skills

  • Strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Hands-on laboratory skills involving real-time audio-visual signal processing and data management.

Education

  • A master's degree in a relevant field is required.

Tools

  • Experience with audio-visual signal processing tools and software is beneficial.
