Registered Nurse (Healthcare, Third Shift, Inpatient Facility)

Job summary

This role involves providing professional nursing care to patients in an inpatient or community service setting. The nurse will assess patient needs, plan and implement care, and evaluate treatment outcomes while supervising other nursing staff during shifts when higher management is unavailable.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
• Must meet nursing registration requirements as mandated by local law and maintain these requirements as a condition of employment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development through education and training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care and treatment based on patient assessments and nursing diagnoses.
• Participate in the intake process, including interviewing and goal setting for patients.
• Supervise and evaluate the work of Licensed Practical Nurses and other support staff.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address patient health needs.
• Document patient interactions and care according to agency policies.
• Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families.
• Monitor and report on the health status of patients.
