About the role

We are looking for a Senior QA who will own and evolve quality assurance across the project. This is both a strategic and hands-on role. You’ll define how we work with quality while also staying close to the build, the team and the product.

You’ll partner closely and equally with all other disciplines to ensure QA is an integrated part of the development process rather than added at the end, to ensure a succesful soft launch of our first mobile RPG in Q4 2026.

We believe that quality assurance starts at the kick off, challenging the design and defining the acceptance criteria, planning for not only what to test but how.
 

Desirable skills and knowledge

  • 6+ years of experience in games or software QA

  • 2+ years in a QA Lead or senior QA role with ownership of process and direction

  • Experience shipping at least one commercial game or live product

  • Strong understanding of both manual and automated testing approaches

  • Experience introducing or improving test automation workflows

  • Familiarity with CI pipelines

  • Solid understanding of functional, regression and performance testing

  • Experience supporting Early Access or live operations environments

  • Comfortable working cross-discipline in an Agile or sprint-based setup

  • Strong communication skills and structured documentation habits

  • Proactive and pragmatic mindset with a willingness to be hands-on

  • Experience with Unity

  • Experience creating test cycles that the team can use as well

Bonus:

  • Experience with automated testing tools

  • Solid understanding of QA for localization, certification, and performance testing.

  • Experience managing external teams

  • Experience working with external QA vendors or test partners

  • Experience working with telemetry or data-informed QA practices

  • Experience with Playtest Cloud

  • Basic scripting or programming experience for automation purposes

  • Sensitivity to game feel, UX and overall player experience quality

Role responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the overall QA strategy across the project

  • Establish clear testing processes, standards and documentation

  • Work closely with Tech to implement and maintain automated testing integrated into builds

  • Ensure strong coverage across functionality, regression and performance

  • Partner with Production to align QA with sprint cadence, milestones and release planning

  • Improve bug reporting, triage and verification workflows

  • Define quality KPIs and provide clear visibility on risks and quality status

  • Plan and coordinate internal and external playtests

  • Manage and evaluate external QA vendors where relevant

  • Balance strategic oversight with hands-on testing depending on project needs

  • Continuously improve how we approach quality in both development and live environments
