We invite you to bring your expertise and passion for social impact and engagement into play as you drive the implementation of Ramboll’s Social Impact Programme, and play a key role in Ramboll’s culture and engagement activities.

Do you want a role where you can have a direct impact on society in line with Ramboll’s purpose? Have you got a passion for driving positive social change and engaging with stakeholders and partners to support a more sustainable future? Are you a proactive problem-solver who collaborates effectively across diverse teams and cultures and is able to connect and motivate colleagues? If so, you could be the perfect fit for this role.

Inviting bright minds

At Ramboll, we are committed to creating a sustainable future through inspiring projects and innovative solutions that set industry standards. With a successful history dating back to our founding in 1945, we lead and leave a positive impact on societies, companies, and people worldwide.

You will join our Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility team

As our new Sustainability Specialist, you will be part of Ramboll’s Sustainability & CR Group Function. You will join a passionate and diverse team of specialists who support the business in addressing our own commitments as a responsible business and creating sustainable impact through how we work at Ramboll. We are on an ambitious journey to deliver Ramboll’s new strategy ‘The Partner for Sustainable Change’, including coordinated action on key areas of positive change. Our Social Impact Programme, Flourish, is a collaboration between Ramboll Group and the Ramboll Foundation, which invites employees to use their skills and expertise in community- and sustainability- focused projects we develop with external partners, currently focused on programmes in India, the US, and the UK.

Your key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility for defining, developing and implementing Ramboll’s Social Impact Programme, including:
  • Leading the Flourish Secretariat and Steering Committee, coordinating engagement with employees, the Ramboll Foundation and developing our volunteering programmes with Flourish Partners.
  • Monitoring progress and reporting on Flourish impact.
  • Proposing opportunities for improvement, development, and scaling of Flourish, building on global best practices.
  • Developing industry collaborations to support Ramboll’s learning and profile on Social Value and Social Impact more widely.
  • Develop activities which will support a common language and scaling of best practice in Social Value and Social Impact across Ramboll’s businesses.
  • Supporting our sustainability engagement and culture programme activities, including promoting and coordinating engagement with Ramboll’s Impact Makers network and hosting the S&CR quarterly Sustainability Status.
  • Supporting Group strategic sustainability partnerships and positioning activities, collaborating with Stakeholder Relations colleagues.

Your starting point for constant growth

From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is:

  • Subject matter expertise in corporate responsibility or a social sustainability discipline, demonstrated through your education, experience or both.
  • Experience with relevant regulation, standards, protocols, and best practices in social impact.
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities; collaborative and solution-focused.
  • Strong communicator; presentation and reporting skills plus ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to project manage and drive a multi-stakeholder programme, including establishing and tracking appropriate metrics.
  • A passion for sustainability and community focused/volunteering activities
  • Experience of working in a corporate environment is desirable but not essential.

Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include being systematic and proactive in executing your tasks, enjoying meeting and engaging with many different people, and being a strong team player who can collaborate well across both organisational and cultural borders. From day one, you will have the chance to take responsibility for your own tasks and contribute to the objectives of the Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility function in Ramboll’s Corporate organisation.

At Ramboll, we believe that diversity is a strength and that different experiences and perspectives are essential to creating truly sustainable societies. We are committed to providing an inclusive and supportive work environment where everyone is able to flourish and reach their potential. We invite applications from candidates of all backgrounds and characteristics. Please let us know if there are any changes we could make to the application process to make it more comfortable for you.
