Your new role

As our new Structural engineer in Esbjerg, Aarhus, or Copenhagen, you will be part of a highly specialized department in Ramboll Energy that counts more than 50 employees primarily located in Denmark and India. Our department has long experience within the offshore field and is world-leading in reassessment and lifetime extensions of aging platforms, structural health monitoring including true digital twins of offshore structures in general.
 

You will be part of a result-driven re-assessment and design environment focusing on delivering high-quality projects in time, which we can because we help each other and invest in developing innovative techniques.


You will be working closely together with very skilled and experienced structural engineers, with many interesting projects such as structural reanalysis (SRS), inspection planning (IP), design life extension (DLE) of offshore jackets, topsides and riser systems and design of onshore process facilities.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Reassessment and lifetime extension of aging offshore platforms
  • Conceptual, FEED and detailed design of offshore structures incl. input for 3D and 2D drafting
  • Conceptual, FEED and detailed design of onshore process facilities incl. input for 3D and 2D drafting
  • Advanced global analyses of the full structural system both linear and non-linear for ULS, FLS and ALS scenarios
  • Re-assessment and design of structural details
  • Engage with Clients and take responsibility of deliverables
  • Contribute to internal development activities to continuously improve and optimise designs and reassessment methods

 

About you

  • Master’s degree in Structural and Civil engineering
  • Solid experience of structural steel design including static and dynamic engineering
  • Proven experience as a structural engineer within the offshore industry and preferably with jackets and riser systems
  • Experience with offshore standards such as ISO, NORSOK, EuroCode, DNV etc.
  • Possible experience in leading and supervising a minor structural project team 
  • Experience with the industry software ROSAP, SACS and/or SESAM. The preferred software is ROSAP 
  • Solid user experience with Excel, MathCad, MATLAB and Python
  • Superior communication skills in English and preferable also Danish, both oral and written.
