Job Description

Do you want to play a key role in delivering high-quality reality capture for complex infrastructure and building projects? Are you motivated by strengthening and developing drone and laser scanning capabilities in a leading global consultancy? Do you thrive in a role where you combine field operations, advanced data processing, and trusted client advisory? If this sounds like you or if you're curious to learn more, then this role could be the perfect opportunity.

Join our Reality Capture team as our new consultant and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.

Your new role
The present and future of our work is people-driven and technology-enabled. Ramboll welcomes new technologies because we fundamentally believe in the power of technology to enhance what is possible. As a large, global organisation, it is essential that we leverage technology to automate and simplify whenever we can.

As our new Reality Capture Consultant, you will deliver reality capture services for infrastructure, transportation, building, and industrial projects while collaborating with Ramboll colleagues. You will join a specialised team working with laser scanning, drones, photogrammetry, and digital modeling, supporting multidisciplinary project teams. A natural part of the role will be performing remote drone inspections of structures and facilities, providing accurate and well-documented data that integrates directly into engineering, maintenance, and asset management workflows.

You will work across the full lifecycle: planning data acquisition strategies, executing field campaigns, processing and analysing large datasets, and delivering structured digital outputs that integrate into Ramboll’s offerings and workflows. In parallel, you will engage with colleagues and clients to ensure that the right data is captured and translated into real project value.

The role offers a dynamic mix of fieldwork and office-based work. Travel activity in Denmark and occasionally abroad should be expected. You will also contribute to continuously refining and strengthening our reality capture services, tools, and methodologies.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Planning and executing drone and laser scanning campaigns for infrastructure, building, and industrial projects
  • Processing and analysing point clouds, photogrammetric datasets, and LiDAR data to deliver reliable project data
  • Delivering outputs such as terrain models, Scan-to-BIM models, visualisations, and structured documentation aligned with digital delivery standards
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to colleagues and clients on data acquisition strategies, accuracy requirements, and digital workflows
  • Contributing to the ongoing development and optimisation of our reality capture services and market offering

About you
You are technically strong, structured, and motivated by working at the intersection of technology and real-world engineering projects. You are a team player who enjoys both being in the field collecting data and working analytically with processing and interpretation. At the same time, you are comfortable engaging in professional dialogue with colleagues and clients.

We expect that you:

  • Hold a relevant educational background within Surveying, Geomatics, Geodesy, Engineering, Geography/Geoinformatics, Architectural Technology & Construction Management, Natural Sciences, Data Science (with a spatial focus), or similar – or have equivalent practical experience
  • Have solid experience with UAV-based data collection and/or terrestrial laser scanning
  • Preferably have experience with GIS and/or BIM and are familiar with photogrammetry and/or LiDAR workflows
  • Understand geodetic principles, coordinate systems, and data accuracy requirements
  • Communicate confidently in English, both verbally and in writing

Experience with UAV regulations, operational planning, or SORA processes is an advantage, but certifications can be supported during employment. We are primarily looking for candidates with several years of relevant experience who can take ownership of projects and help further strengthen our capabilities. However, we also welcome applications from ambitious profiles with strong technical foundations and the drive to grow into the role.

What we can offer you

  • Flexible work environment with the possibility of working from home a few days a week
  • A central role in developing and delivering advanced reality capture services in a global consultancy
  • Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning
  • Leaders guided by our Leadership Principles
  • Pension scheme and health insurance
  • Technical excursions and social events
  • The long-term thinking of a foundation-owned company
  • Projects that are technically intensive and enable you to make a real difference

Please submit your application and CV online. We invite diversity in all its forms and encourage applicants from all groups to apply.

"We recognise that some candidates only apply when they tick every box. However, passion and potential often outweigh a perfect résumé, and Ramboll's supportive learning culture can help you grow. So if this role resonates with you but you don't meet all the requirements, we encourage you to apply. You might be the perfect fit for this opportunity or another within our team."
