We work to create a sustainable future, and our inspiring projects and innovative solutions aim to set the standard within the industry. You will join a global company that has been growing successfully since its founding in 1945. Together, we strive to create a positive impact on societies, companies and people around the world.

You will join our Major Bridges Department

As our new colleague, you will be part of an international department working on major bridge and infrastructure projects across all stages from planning and design through to construction. Our bridge team works on all types of bridges and has a reputation for innovation through projects such as Gateshead Millennium Bridge - the world’s first tilting bridge. Our engineers work alongside colleagues from other departments both nationally and internationally to provide all necessary services to deliver these projects.

We will offer you tasks that support your professional development, and make sure your tasks vary, gradually increasing your independence, technical expertise and responsibility. You will be a part of an international work environment with expert knowledge, sharing a passion for major bridges and other major infrastructure projects of all shapes and types. You will be working alongside senior engineers.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Structural analysis and design of concrete and steel bridges.
  • Finite element modelling and analysis using SOFiSTiK.
  • Preparation of drawings and BIM models in collaboration with CAD/BIM technicians.
  • Preparation of design documentation.
  • Participate in digital design and automation initiatives, including e.g. parametric modelling.

Your starting point for constant growth

From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is:

  • You have within the last 2 years completed a master’s degree in civil/structural engineering (or similar).
  • You enjoy being challenged and learning across multiple disciplines.
  • You are motivated by working both independently and as part of a team.
  • You are a curious and ambitious person with a strong desire to learn and develop your career in an international organisation.
  • You have very good communication skills in written and spoken English, with Danish or German language skills considered an advantage.
  • You are interested in international travel and living in Copenhagen, Denmark.

What we can offer you

  • Commitment to your development.
  • Leaders guided by our Leadership Principles.
  • A culture that welcomes you as the unique person you are.
  • Inspiration from colleagues, clients and large projects.
  • The long-term thinking of a foundation-owned company.
  • Flexible work environment with the possibility of working from home a few days a week.
  • Pension scheme via PFA including health insurance.
  • Technical excursions and social events.
  • 24 weeks of paid parental leave for fathers, mothers, and LGBTQ+ families.
  • Projects that are technically intensive and that enable you to make a real and lasting difference.
