Your new team

You will be part of the global business area Ramboll Buildings and take the leading role as our Innovation, Digitalization, and Technology Director. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic development and leadership of innovation and digital transformation within Ramboll Buildings across our Country business areas. You will build and lead the global Innovation, Digitalization, and Technology (IDT) team, and as a member of the Buildings Leadership Team, you will report to the Operations  Director of Buildings. 

Your new role

The role of the IDT Director is to drive digitalization, innovation, and scaling of digital solutions & products across the Buildings business area. You will be expected to increase the digital maturity of Buildings and raise the profile of Ramboll in the industry through thought leadership in technical forums, conference participation, and industry partnerships. You will help shape the core business through digital delivery, automation, and vendor partnerships helping to bring new services and products to our clients.

You will have a double reporting line into Ramboll Tech, a newly founded function within Ramboll responsible for driving the global digital transformation agenda for Ramboll, including work on data, AI, digital products, and shaping our workforce of the future.

Strategic areas of responsibility

The IDT Director is a strategic role that helps tie together design excellence, digital delivery, and digitalization. The key purpose is to enable and ensure that Buildings are at the forefront of digitalization and innovation with regards to how we work and what we deliver, aligning with our sustainable goals.

The IDT Director will play a key role in defining our digitalization strategy for the Buildings business area and will be accountable for its implementation and progress.

Operational areas of responsibility

To be the go-to person in terms of digitalization in Buildings. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Staying informed about industry trends, client needs, and new technologies
• Leading the integration of digital solutions into our service offerings
• Enhancing automation and computational design processes
• Building and maintaining relationships with industry experts and partners

To assume responsibility for our task forces and drive 3 work streams focusing on:

• How we work. This is intended to drive how we work with digital solutions and products like computational Design, Building Information Modelling, and Automation. We aim to align how we work across countries, automate repetitive processes, improve maturity and quality when using BIM. 
• What we offer. We want to use digital tools and data to support our client dialogue and our offerings. Client centricity is key, and we need to understand the business area demand, develop our services, new offerings and go-to-market.
• How we innovate and transform. Ramboll is investing in innovation, and we seek to get the most out the investments we make. This includes focusing on what can support the core business, selecting and progressing the most feasible ideas, and scaling successful innovations to the whole business.

• Ability to lead diverse, multi-cultural and international teams
• Cultural sensitivity and ethical awareness working across geographical borders
