Early Career GIS Consultant

Your New Role
As a GIS Consultant, you will work closely with all Ramboll’s business areas, supporting infrastructure, water, energy, and environmental projects. Join our team of accomplished GIS professionals, where you will engage in tasks involving technologies such as geodata, cartography, 3D, data science, CAD&BIM, automation, programming, and more. Our department fosters innovation, constantly striving to execute smarter and more efficiently. You'll find yourself in a vibrant, international work environment surrounded by diverse teams.

As our new GIS Consultant, a lively and innovative team will welcome you. You’ll work on diverse, engaging projects, partake in social events, and have opportunities to travel. Ramboll’s Transport department in Denmark is known for exciting celebrations such as project milestones and colleague birthdays, ensuring lots of camaraderie and fun.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Data Collection: Gather, organize, and input spatial data from sources like satellite imagery, surveys, and field observations.
  • Mapping and Visualization: Utilize QGIS or ESRI to create maps and visualizations for comprehensible spatial data representation.
  • Data Analysis: Perform spatial analyses to identify patterns, correlations, and trends in geographic data.
  • Database Management: Assist in maintaining and updating GIS databases to ensure spatial data accuracy and consistency.

About You

  • M.Sc. in Geoinformatics, Geography, Land Surveying, Data Science (with a spatial focus), or similar fields.
  • 0-5 years of relevant GIS experience.
  • Proficient in ArcGIS Pro and/or QGIS, with FME experience being a plus.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Enthusiastic about working in infrastructure, water, and energy projects.
  • Proactive in promoting GIS services to projects and clients.
