Civil engineer with project management experience within Energy and Power Generation projects

Vejle, Aarhus, Copenhagen, Aalborg, Odense, or Esbjerg, Denmark

We are seeking a qualified professional to lead multidisciplinary energy projects and address technical construction challenges across both large- and small-scale initiatives. Your new role

As a member of our team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of sustainable energy projects, working within a collaborative environment that includes civil, mechanical, and process engineering specialists. In your capacity as Project Manager and Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for project management and client consultancy with a strong emphasis on technical development, design, and construction tasks. This position requires close cooperation with interdisciplinary colleagues at Ramboll, clients, and external partners.

Your assignments will range from minor building and construction projects to significant developments at energy production facilities, all with a central focus on sustainability and the green transition. While the primary geographic focus is Denmark, there are also opportunities for short-term placements abroad, where considerable growth is occurring. Our client base spans Danish utility providers to international energy companies, offering exposure to the latest technologies in power generation and civil engineering.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Project management, including client contact and coordination with internal teams, partners, suppliers, and authorities
• Pursue new opportunities and prepare tender documents
• Oversee interdisciplinary design and construction management
• Provide construction expertise for technical energy projects at all stages
• Perform construction design and static quality assurance for project deliverables
• Manage construction and supervise site activities
• Ensure project quality and compliance with safety regulations
• Track subcontractor agreements and manage claims

About you

• Previous experience in the power plant industry
• At least 8–10 years of professional background in project management, design, construction supervision, and oversight within building and construction engineering, preferably involving energy technology facilities
• Proven ability to coordinate interfaces between construction and process equipment, particularly within energy or process engineering plants
• Certification as a statistician for minimum construction class 2 (considered an asset, but not required)
• Experience managing client relationships and possessing a professional network in the energy sector
