Retail Buying Coordinator

To support this, we are looking for a Retail Buying Coordinator to join our Global Excellence team. Someone who combines a strong analytical mindset with a genuine passion for fashion and product. The Role

As our Retail Buying Coordinator, you will support the buying and merchandising process from planning to execution and follow-up. You will turn data into insights and contribute to key buying and merchandising decisions—helping shape assortments that are both commercially strong and true to the Rains universe. Working closely with cross-functional teams across Retail, E-commerce, Marketing, and Product, you will support alignment between product strategy and commercial performance.

You will support the Demand Manager in shaping and executing seasonal assortments across channels and regions, contributing to both performance and brand positioning.

Key Responsibilities

Buying & Assortment

• Prepare buy files and maintain buy orders in internal systems
• Support range building through quantitative analysis (KPIs, sell-through, stock levels)
• Collect input from regions and stores to support assortment decisions
• Assist in preparing buying presentations

Merchandising & Execution

• Support product planning in line with marketing calendars and deliveries
• Monitor store assortments and clustering
• Maintain product push planning and markdown lists
• Follow up on deliveries and support in-store execution
• Collaborate with Marketing on launches and seasonal activities

Performance & Insights

• Prepare weekly performance reports across regions
• Track SKU and category performance
• Support replenishment and in-season actions
• Contribute to in-season and post-season analyses
• Monitor competitors, trends, and market developments, bringing relevant insights into buying discussions

The Ideal Profile

We are looking for someone who is curious, structured, and proactive, with a strong interest in both numbers and product.

We imagine you:

• Have 1–3 years of experience in retail buying, merchandising, or similar
• Have strong Excel skills and feel confident working with data
• Have a genuine interest in fashion, trends, and brand positioning
• Are detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and timelines
• Have an analytical mindset and can translate data into actionable insights
• Are a strong team player with good communication skills
• Are fluent in English, both written and spoken
