Pre-Trade Data Developer (Energy, Remote)

Job summary

This role is crucial in supporting traders and analysts within a fast-paced energy trading environment by managing pre-trade data systems. The position involves developing and maintaining data scraping pipelines that provide high-quality market data from various external sources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• Professional experience in software development, particularly in Python; familiarity with C#/.NET is a plus.
• Experience with backend or data-oriented development, including SQL and structured data handling.
• Understanding of APIs, data ingestion, automation, and systems integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain, and enhance data scrapers and ingestion pipelines for pre-trade platforms.
• Improve the robustness and observability of scraping solutions, troubleshoot failures, and implement fixes.
• Ensure timely and accurate ingestion of market data into pre-trade systems, managing production issues and supporting incident management.
• Collaborate with traders, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
