Job summary

This Postdoctoral position focuses on designing sustainable business ecosystems to facilitate the green transition, particularly in the context of circular value chains for bioeconomy and hydrogen systems. The role is part of a collaborative project in Southern Jutland, aiming to integrate regional actors, resources, and infrastructures into viable industrial ecosystems.

Qualifications

  • PhD degree (or equivalent) in innovation studies, entrepreneurship, sustainability transitions, industrial engineering, energy systems, environmental sciences, or a related field.
  • Strong academic record with knowledge in innovation, sustainability transitions, industrial systems, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in an interdisciplinary research environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct empirical studies and analyze qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Disseminate findings in leading international journals.
  • Investigate coordination of regional actors and resources into sustainable industrial systems.
  • Explore emerging perspectives on regenerative systems and their impact on socio-ecological systems.

Skills

  • Strong methodological competences and analytical mindset.
  • Curiosity about business ecosystems and industrial symbiosis.
  • Interest in chemical and technological dimensions related to biomass conversion and hydrogen systems.

Education

  • A PhD degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field is required.

Tools

  • Familiarity with system analysis, spatial mapping, or techno-economic assessment methods is advantageous.
