Seeking two postdoctoral researchers to focus on theoretical advancements in quantum cryptography and information processing, particularly through the lens of symmetries and representation theory. The role involves collaboration across departments to develop novel protocols and security proofs.

Qualifications

  • PhD in physics, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong theoretical skills relevant to quantum cryptography and information.
  • Experience in quantum cryptography protocols, representation theory, Bell nonlocality, randomness extraction, or optimization methods is advantageous.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-standard research and contribute to the project's direction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and share expertise in a team environment.
  • Engage in scientific discussions and contribute to the dissemination of research findings through publications and presentations.
  • Supervise bachelor’s and master’s students, and potentially PhD students.

Skills

  • Strong theoretical background in quantum information science.
  • Ability to tackle complex challenges and engage in innovative research.

Education

  • A PhD degree (or equivalent) is required.

Tools

  • Familiarity with quantum cryptography tools and methods, including semidefinite programming and convex optimization techniques.
