Qualifications

  • PhD degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Strong background in fluid-mineral interaction

Responsibilities

  • Conduct fundamental investigations of mineral-water-gas properties
  • Develop predictive models and experimental methods
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals
  • Merge data from traditional techniques with ultrahigh resolution instruments

Skills

  • Expertise in water-mineral interaction, surface/interface chemistry, and organic chemistry
  • Proficiency in particle characterization techniques such as SEM and TEM
  • Experience with molecular modeling and geostatistics
  • Familiarity with X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction

Education

  • PhD degree in geochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, mineralogy, natural materials surface science, geostatistics, or physics

Tools

  • Scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, molecular dynamics software
