Job summary

A PhD position is available focused on enhancing primary separation processes in downstream protein processing. The role emphasizes the integration of experimental methods and mathematical modeling to improve efficiency in industrial production processes.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in chemical and/or biochemical engineering or equivalent (120 ECTS points).
  • Strong understanding of process engineering and interest in separation processes and mathematical modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Review and summarize existing literature on primary separation processes.
  • Design and conduct experiments at both lab and pilot scales for primary separation.
  • Develop mathematical models to optimize primary separation processes.
  • Utilize model predictions to identify optimal separation conditions.
  • Present findings through internal presentations, conferences, and scientific publications.

Skills

  • Proficiency in experimental design and execution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with mathematical modeling and optimization techniques.

Education

  • Required: Two-year master's degree in chemical and/or biochemical engineering or equivalent.

Tools

  • Familiarity with modeling software and experimental lab equipment relevant to chemical engineering.
