Job Description:

Parsons needs your rail operations expertise in Denmark! In this role as the Rail Operation Engineer, you will get to work on a dynamic team with other rail systems professionals to on rail system infrastructure projects for our key clients in Denmark.

The Rail Operation Engineer will perform a variety of engineering tasks related to project delivery for all stages of the project including writing proposals, developing various project documentation, engineering studies and conceptual designs, preliminary, and detailed design stages, project management, systems engineering, integration, testing and commissioning, operation, and maintenance of complex technology systems. The systems engineer will actively support the integration of system processes and methodologies to ensure the effectiveness of total system performance. This role will involve extensive coordination with various internal and external project teams to address issues and progress project activities and deliverables.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Keep the operations concept for the UTO system up to date for the entire life-cycle of the client program.
  • Develop a mixed mode operations concept with existing trains in STO mode running in migration phase with UTO trains.
  • Support the development of the shadow operator role, building up to the Trial Run phase of the client program.
  • Support in developing the operating rules and procedures for mixed mode of operation including transition to full UTO Operation.
  • Prepare updates and integrate outcomes from testing, bug fixing and/or functional evolutions, into the Operational Concept.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Engineering Degree from an accredited institution. An advanced degree may be preferred at this level. Incumbents typically have a BS/MS degree in engineering, technical, or scientific discipline.
  • 10+ years of related professional experience in railway operation
  • Have experience in defining, managing and implementing migration solutions in a transit system, preferably migration of Signalling systems and Rolling Stock or telecommunication systems
  • Defining operator’s role and responsibilities for a transit system, preferably during migration phase of a project
  • Experience in defining, managing and implementing system integration and interface tasks for a transit system.
  • Experience in defining concept of operations in a transit system preferably for a system under migration
  • Experience with CBTC system.
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
