Job Description

PA Consulting has always been a leading advisor in the Health and Life Science Sector both globally and in Denmark. We serve many large pharmaceutical organisations with a strong focus across the entire pharmaceutical value chain – from drug discovery, clinical development, manufacturing and supply chain, through productization and commercial execution spanning both digitalisation and related transformations.  

Our strong team in Denmark is growing, and we are hiring Managing Consultants to continue building our strong presence in the sector.  

The ideal candidates will have a strong background in Life Sciences consulting, in one or more focus areas of the value chain in clinical development, manufacturing and supply chain or in commercial. It could also be a focus on taking products to market, commercial engagement and growth strategy, digital strategy and  business transformation.  

The perfect candidate has a solid client network with proven track record engaging the market and delivering strong results for clients. We are looking for strong candidates able to take lead on both account leadership and business development of innovative propositions and develop the team in the key capability areas.

Within PA the Managing Consultant (MC) role represents a top tier appointment in the organisation, with MCs typically serving as our business development and team leaders. With one foot in the sales operation, one foot in the strategic and a head for business and proposition development, this role is highly varied and calls for someone who is autonomous and a self-starter. MCs are part of the leadership team and an integrated part of the sales team. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Work closely with clients in the Life Sciences sector to identify challenges, develop solutions, and drive implementation 

• Lead Life Sciences sales initiative across the firm, particularly driving the agenda in areas such as digital transformation, operational efficiency, commercial execution, operating model, performance improvement 

• Provide strategic advice and insights to senior executives within the above areas 

• Lead project teams in delivering high-quality solutions that meet client objectives and drive measurable business impact 

• Lead strategic accounts as chairperson 

• Collaborate with colleagues across PA Consulting's global network to leverage best practices and expertise 

• Our team is based in Copenhagen, and you will work predominately on client site. Travel outside of these locations may be required, but we are committed to working with any qualified candidate to understand what flexible working patterns can be adapted. 

Qualifications

• The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications: 

• A Master's degree is ideal. 

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in management consulting, with a specific focus on the Life Sciences industry, is required. 

• Alternatively, candidates with a combined advisory career and internal managerial experience at a large client or pharmaceutical company will be considered. 

• Demonstrated ability to deliver successful projects in critical areas such as strategy development, process improvement, and technology implementation is essential. 

• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial, along with the capacity to distil complex concepts into clear, actionable recommendations. 

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are imperative, as is the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all organisational levels. 

• Verifiable sales experience and a strong network in the pharmaceutical and life science sector is a prerequisite for this role. 

Fluency in both Danish and English essential; proficiency in additional languages will be viewed favourably.
