We are looking for an experienced Pharma industry professional, who will lead the development of strong partnerships with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and other parties (e.g. brokers, agents, labs, etc.) supplying Orifarm HealthCare business with all semi-finished and finished products. 

 

About the job 

As our new Virtual Site Manager, which is a synonym for our internal title Director, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), you will be leading and overseeing all interactions with CMOs and other partners, developing and maintaining close and collaborative relationships via account planning, targets, and projects in order to manage risk and deliver on synergies and value creation between the parties. You will be the business owner for the assigned portfolio and a relationship builder in dialogue with the supplier.            

 

Your key responsibilities in the role will be:

  • Leading and manage a cross-functional Supplier Relationship Team (SRT) to ensure a complete product and process oversight, and to lead the coordination of supplier-related activities in relevant functional areas i.e., Quality Assurance, Product Supply, Strategic Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Science & Technology, and Regulatory Affairs in a matrix set up.
  • Conducting Business Review Meetings (BRMs) with CMOs in order to create a collaborative forum for key stakeholders and technical experts to discuss joint opportunities, potential roadblocks to collaboration, activities and resources required, and to share strategies and relevant market trends.
  • Managing performance of the suppliers via setting targets, reviewing KPI dashboards, and assessing supplier performance or risks and collaborating with the suppliers to ensure product quality, supply stability, and competitive product cost and continually maintaining balance between them.
  • Developing CMOs with performance potential into trusted partners by conducting collaborative projects in areas such as manufacturing process improvement, quality enhancement, lean management, or supply chain improvement.
  • Managing and monitoring major projects on performance improvement and process optimization and ensuring know-how and best-practice sharing among stakeholders.

 

Who are you?

The role requires a deep insights in Pharmaceutical industry market dynamics, commercial acumen, and strong experience and proven ability to negotiate, mitigate risks, solve problems, and to understand manufacturing processes.

 

We expect you to have a degree in Pharmacy, Industrial engineering or related fields, supplemented with Business Administration degree and/or Project management certification combined with at least 10 years of relevant experience in the Pharmaceutical and Life science industry.

 

In the role as Director, SRM, you will interact with a number of key internal stakeholders and a cluster of suppliers, and therefore, we expect a high level of ability to influence across functions and ability to drive the results with integrity and through difficult obstacles.

 

The role will be based in Odense, Denmark, and a key requirement is working in an international environment with stakeholders, also on different locations.

 

Among the key characteristics of a successful candidate we expect:

  • Experience with several technical key functions, primarily with Production and GMP-Quality and secondarily with Supply Chain, Portfolio and BD, and Regulatory Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Preferably experience in Lean Management and Operational Excellence
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills supplemented with proven cross-culture communication and collaboration skills
  • Advanced Program management and Project management skills including technical transfers, risk assessment, and internal and external stakeholder management
  • Experience with leading and developing a team of high profile specialists and managers and ability to drive organizational change and efficiently lead the team through transformations

  • You will be leading a team of managers and specialists reporting to you directly, indirectly or functionally
  • You will closely cooperate and share best practices with your peer SRMs managing their own cluster of suppliers, in order to ensure continuous improvement of Orifarm´s SRM function and practice
  • You will work and coordinate closely with your colleagues in all central and corporate functions i.e., Supply Chain, Quality Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Sales, Business Development, etc., in order to secure high quality and profitable supply of products to Orifarm customers

Job Location

The position will be located in Odense where 3 of the SRTs are based, while we are in the process of creation a SRT team in our Warsaw office.  

We offer flexibility to work partially from home depending on the tasks.
