And it’s how we'll impact the future. Now, more than ever, the world needs change. And with biosolutions, the possibilities for transformation are endless.

We’re here to better our world with biology.

Join us as our new student assistant
As a Student Assistant you will play a vital role in advancing our sustainability agenda. You will gain hands-on experience supporting global sustainability partnerships, engaging with international platforms, and contributing to strategic projects that shape our business and external presence.

Welcome to Global Sustainability Partnerships & External Engagement
The Partnerships & External Engagement team sits within Global Sustainability and drives Novonesis’ engagement with external stakeholders, including international organizations, UN bodies, and business platforms. You will work closely with the Head of Partnerships & External Engagement and collaborate with colleagues across sustainability, business development, communications, and public affairs. Our team thrives on knowledge sharing and mutual support, ensuring you are part of a collaborative and purpose-driven environment.

In this role you’ll make an impact…
You will support the team’s work in translating global sustainability trends and insights into actions for Novonesis. Your contributions will help strengthen our sustainability positioning, inform our engagements with key stakeholders, and our involvement with key processes such as the UN General Assembly and major climate and biodiversity conferences. Alongside your core responsibilities, you will assist with coordination and administrative tasks, stakeholder engagement reporting, and attend selected external events on behalf of the team.

...in addition, some of your key tasks will include:

  • Monitoring, researching, and analyzing global sustainability developments of relevance for Novonesis’ strategy and external engagement.

  • Conducting stakeholder mapping, due diligence, and opportunity assessments to support partnerships and business relevant activities linked to sustainability agendas.

  • Supporting planning and preparation for high-level global platforms and processes, including briefing materials and event prioritization.

  • Capturing and synthesizing insights from reports, negotiations, and stakeholder interactions to inform internal decision-making and sustainability strategy.

  • Assisting with project management and coordination tasks, including preparation of written materials, presentations, and internal documentation.

  • Developing and implementing new tools and processes to support the above.

You will collaborate with colleagues across Global Sustainability, Commercial Teams, Communications, Public Affairs, and other functions, benefiting from hybrid working and schedule that accommodates your academic commitments.

To succeed you must hold:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s level studies in international relations, sustainability, environmental studies, business, economics, or similar fields.

  • Preferably 2 years remaining in your studies.

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (student-level position).

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

Additionally, we expect you to demonstrate strong analytical skills, the ability to structure complex information, and clear written communication. You should be comfortable translating insights into presentations and short written outputs and have experience with desk research and synthesis of qualitative information.

Your curiosity and genuine interest in sustainability and global challenges will help you succeed in this role. You are analytical, structured, and detail oriented, able to think holistically while working pragmatically on concrete tasks. Reliability and an ability to manage tasks independently, combined with a collaborative approach, are valued qualities.
