Join Novonesis as our new Scientific Advisor, where you will shape impactful scientific storytelling and elevate communication across our Gastrointestinal and Immune Health Global Portfolio. In this role, you will bridge science and strategy, empower our commercial teams, and engage actively with the broader scientific community.

Welcome to Gastrointestinal and Immune Health Global Portfolio Team.

You will join the Global Portfolio DS, Innovation & Execution Team (Human Health Biosolutions), where the Gastrointestinal and Immune Health Global Portfolio Team drives strategy, innovation priorities and execution of our existing portfolio for the respective health areas. Collaboration is central, and you will work closely with colleagues in Marketing, Sales, Regional Scientific Advisors, and occasionally with Science & Innovation and Regulatory Affairs departments to develop impactful deliverables.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:

You will become the primary scientific contact for Sales, providing expert support and ensuring scientific accuracy in communications. Your responsibilities include presenting scientific insights externally during customer meetings, innovation days, webinars, and at industry events such as conferences and symposiums. Your input will be essential in shaping strategy, new product development, and clinical study design, while your management of the clinical study database will ensure our scientific resources remain current and accessible. You will also bring the voice of the category to scientific forums and identify new positioning opportunities based on emerging clinical evidence.

Some of your key tasks will include:

• Leveraging study results in various forms of scientific marketing communication
• Acting as the primary point of scientific contact and support for Sales
• Presenting scientific storytelling for external communication at meetings, webinars, and industry events
• Providing input from a scientific communication and customer feedback perspective to strategy, product development, and study design
• Managing the clinical study database and publication repository

Additionally, we expect you to review and fact-check marketing materials, proofread scientific content, track new publications, and contribute your expertise to clinical study database management. Your ability to provide input from a scientific communication and customer feedback perspective will be valued in shaping strategy and product development.

You will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with colleagues across Marketing, Sales, Regional Scientific Advisors, and occasionally S&I and Regulatory Affairs, ensuring scientific communication aligns with strategy and innovation priorities.

To succeed you must hold:

• Higher education within science, preferably PhD
• Preferably industry/commercial experience as well as academic
• Master knowledge about microbiomes and probiotics
• Knowledge of other active ingredients in relation to new health areas, e.g., pre-, post- and synbiotics, enzymes, vitamins, spores
• Established academic network

To succeed in this role, you should be comfortable working collaboratively, demonstrate openness and curiosity, and possess a proactive approach. An entrepreneurial spirit will help you identify new opportunities and contribute meaningfully to the scientific community.
